Puntland’s information minister on Saturday called journalists to take an identification card from the ministry in an attempt to register all journalists working in the state.
Mohamud Hassan Socadde has issued new directives in which government set to be adopted by the local journalists as media groups outlawed state’s order.
The minster has called somali Tv’s to stop airing incitements against the state stability, giving harsh warnings to media personals ,violating region’s security.
The move has drawn an immense criticism by the rights groups in the region, calling the government to suspend its decision in fear of new intimidations that might journalists face.
