Presidential candidate: Govt failed to rebuild SNA

Abdirahman Abdishakur, a presidential candidate for 2016 Election has accused the term-ended federal government of failing to rebuild the country’s national army.

Mr Abdishakur has attributed the retreat of the government forces from their bases to lack of strong and well-equipped troops in the country’s national army.

“The outgoing federal government did not re-build an army who can handle the country’s security responsibility during its four-year-term,” he added.

The presidential hopeful has called for a “self-reliance” and to strengthen the Somali national army (SNA), in a bid to restore the peace and the stability of the country.

On the other hand, Abdirahman Abdishakur the presidential candidate of 2016 election has expressed grave concern the renewed conflict in Galkacyo city and urged on the sides to bring an end to the fighting.
