The Outgoing Somali parliament speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari became the first winner of South West state election of lower House which kicked off Tuesday in Baidoa city. Idale News Online Reports.
Jawari won on the first seat of the House of the People with 45 votes, beating his main contender against Abdirahman Ibrahim.
50 delegates cast their votes in the lower house election in Baidoa.
The election is moving smoothly in Kismayo city the administrative headquarters of Jubbaland state.
Abdirashid Mohamed Hidig, the caretaker state minister of Somalia’s interior ministry has been announced to be the first winner of the lower house election in Kismayo town.
Hidig received 37 votes.
