Nairobi(INO)-Kenyan arrested dozens of Somalis near
Somalia  border in connection with terror attacks in northeastern
region after suspected militants kidnapped and killed Mandera county
chief last week, officials told Media.

The crackdown which effected pastoralists around Alarabiya village
near Mandera is the latest in string of crackdowns against Somalis in
Kenya.

Somali officials called Kenya to free the arrested citizens after more
than 45 people were arrested since last week.

Kenya’s Somali community has complained of the security crackdown on
the country’s refugees.

Tens of thousands are being forced to return to remote and overcrowded
camps, and are being threatened with prosecution if they don’t.
Some of the refugees affected by the clampdown say they will challenge
their detention in court.

They want to stop the government from arresting, deporting and sending
refugees to designated camps.
