The president of the federal republic of Somalia H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and a delegation he was leading have arrived in Baidoa city, the interim headquarters of South West state on Wednesday.
The President has left Mogadishu for Baidoa, the current seat of the interim South West administration to attend the national consultation forum on 2016 elections.
President’s entourage include cabinet ministers and MPs and they were warmly welcomed at Dr Shaati Gaduud International Airport by top officials, elders, including leader of South West state Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden.
The security of the city has been beefed up ahead of the Mohamud’s arrival.
The consultation forum between the Somali political leaders is expected to open on Wednesday afternoon at the presidential palace of South West State in Baidoa.
