Southwest MPs to lodge motion against president

Southwest state lawmakers in Baidoa city say they will file a no confidence motion against president Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden, whom they accused of poor leadership incompetence. Idale News Online Reports.

Amin Mohamed Farah, who is among the MPs lodging the motion said Sharif Hassan has failed to perform his duty and serve for the people of Southwest state based in Baidoa town.

Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden, who is now a candidate for Somali president, and he has been busy for his presidential campaign, instead of doing his main job, according to the legislator.

The Ethiopian-backed Southwest leader Sharif Hassan is seeking to to become Somali president and luring the federal MPs large sum of financial packages to win majority votes.
