Former Galmudug State president Jen Abdi Hassan Awale Qeybdid has accused the federal government led by Hassan Sheikh of failing to hold general election.
“The government failed to hold one man, one vote in 2016 & move the country out of the long-running clan-based powering procedure (4.5),” said Qeybdid.
He said people of Somalia are pessimistic about the upcoming parliamentary & presidential elections due to be held in August and September, later this year.
Qeybdid’s statement comes as the current federal government’s mandate is running out and has less than two months to stay in power after 4-year rule.
