The National Intelligence and Security agency (NISA) said it foiled a car bomb attack in Mogadishu after seizing explosives-laden vehicle in the capital on Saturday night.
Bondhere district commissioner Qasim Abdulle Hassan, told media that NISA has successfully managed to capture the car packed with bombs after a tip off from local residents.
“NISA caught a car packed with explosives around a densely populated area in Bondhere district, I thank residents for their contribution to foil the car bomb attack ,” Hassan added.
NISA called on members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or persons as part of measures to thwart potential Al Shabaab attacks in Mogadishu.
