Mohamed Ali Ameriko, former Somali ambassador to Kenya, an currently running for president said he is not among those candidates backed by the foreign countries.
“The candidates supported by the foreigners can only serve for the countries supporting them win the election. They will not work the country’s interests and the will of the people,” he said.
The presidential candidate has called on the newly inaugurated members of the parliament to vote for him in the coming election which is scheduled to be held in January, 2017.
Candidate Ali Ameriko will face touch race from the incumbent president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and other candidates backed by Turkey, UAE and Ethiopia vying for the president.
