Authorities probe into a cleric deported from Bardere town

Speaking in an interview with Local Media Col Farah Abdi Ashara who is a senior SNA commander in Gedo region has accused Bardere administration of ejecting a religious cleric from the city.

Colonel Ashara said Sheikh Abdulaziz Sheikh Aden known as (Urur), who is prominent Muslim cleric has left Bardere after facing increasing pressure from the town’s admin officials.

Continuing, Col Shara said it is unlawful the national army to abuse their power against the citizens and expel the religious leader from his hometown. He said will probe into the alleged expulsion of the cleric.

“Investigation is underway to determine who deported the cleric and why, we will take a strict measure against everyone involved in the case and he will be brought into justice,” said Col Ashara.

The SNA commander’s comments came days after Somali troops in Bardere town have deported a well-known Muslim cleric to Mogadishu, Somali capital over undisclosed circumstances.
