AU forces in Somalia kill pastoralists near Barawe

African Union forces in Somalia have shot and dead two Pastoralists outside the port city of Barawe in Lower Shabelle region on Friday afternoon (6th December, 2017).

Soldiers serving with AU mission in Somalia (AMISOM) killed Abdirahman Hassan, 17, and Abdi Hassan, 15, as they were keeping camels drinking water at a well in Wareer-malle area.

An uncle for the slain boys said AMISOM soldiers also killed 70 camels in the area.

Reports said AMISOM convoy heading to Barawe city was targeted in a land mine blast in the scene before shooting dead the two brothers in connection for the bomb attack.
