At least three people are reportedly killed, and several were injured in a heavy battle between Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers and Al shabaab fighters in Lower Shabelle province on Wednesday.
The deadly fighting has erupted at Warhaman village, located about 60Km north-west of Somali capital Mogadishu after armed militants have attacked army bases, according to local residents.
Residents have fled the area during the combat between SNA and Al shabaab, reports said.
The latest reports from the town indicate that people have returned to their houses, after the fighting subsided and the attackers have been pushed back by the Somali government
