A heavy battle broke out between Puntland and Galmudug forces in Galkayo town, the regional capital of Mudug province on Friday morning, reports said.
The combat erupted in the city’s northern Garsoor nighbourhood after Puntland state has deployed additional forces in the area, sparking a gunfight with their rival Galmudug army.
The details of the casualties on both warring sides and the civilians are still sketchy.
