Hundreds of Somali employees working for Favori LLC, the Turkish company running Mogadishu airport went on strike over lowering their monthly salaries from the payment given to the foreign staff.
The striking employees have held a rally outside the airport in Mogadishu, demanding equal pay and for equal work rights in the job opportunities at Mogadishu international airport.
One of the employees going on strike said that the Favori LLC has denied their rights of vocation in the independent days of July 1 and June 26.
FAVORI LLC did not comment on the issue.
FAVORI LLC is running since 15th September, 2013 airport management of Mogadishu Aden Abdulle International Airport under a contract from the federal government of Somalia.
