The officials of Somalia’s security forces say they have seized explosives-packed vehicle in Mogadishu, the war-wrecked capital of the horn of Africa.
The car was captured in Mogadishu’s Hamarweyne district on Sunday evening, with the security forces partially closing the road for safety reasons.
The seizure of the bomb-laden car comes two days after deadly car bomb and gun attack on beach-front restaurant left 10 people, including 5 civilians dead.
Prior information indicate that the detained explosives-packed car was planning to carry out an attack in Mogadishu. No suspects were arrested for the failed bombing bid.
