Authorities in Bal’ad town of Middle Shabelle region say security forces of the federal government of Somalia have arrested a military soldier over shooting dead innocent civilian on Monday.
The deputy commissioner Bal’ad district Abdullah Mohamed Hassan has confirmed the arrest of the soldier to Radio Shabelle while speaking in a phone interview.
The Soldier who is serving with SNA – Somali National Army has shot and killed an armed man over undisclosed circumstances.
He is now being questioned in Government custody in and expected to appear before court to face the murder charges, according to local authorities.
