At least three people are reportedly killed and several wounded in a remote-controlled landmine blast at a livestock market in Somali capital, Mogadishu.

Residents in Karan district in northern Mogadishu reported the explosion ripped through a Sheep & Goat Market at Hilka-Dheer area on Thursday morning.

The people who were wounded in the blast have been transferred to nearby hospital for medical treatment, according to medical officials in Kaaraan district.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bomb attack on the animal market in Karaan district, but police blamed Al shabaab for similar deadly attacks in the past.
