President of the South West State of Somalia Shariif Hassan Shiekh Aden has received a high-level delegation from UNHCR at the state house in Baidoa on Saturday , his office said. Idale News Online Reports.
According to Press Release from the office of ISWA president, the delegation which was led by the UNHCR’s head Filippo Grandi has discussed president Shariif Hassan Sheikh on the situation of Somali refugees in Dadaab and their future repatriation.
Kenya, Somali refugees and locally displaced persons (IDPs) in the ISWA Zone were among the issues discussed during the meeting between UNHCR boss and the president of South West State of Somalia.
“I thank UNHCR for its efforts to help South West State refugees. we appeal the UNHCR and the international community to support the repatriation programs to bring back home the refugees in the neighboring countries,” said Sharif Hassan.
