Jowhar assigned as the new capital of Hiiraan-Middle Shabelle state

The traditional elders at Jowhar state formation conference have unanimously voted today for a new capital city of  the forthcoming Hiiraan-Middle Shabelle state in central Somalia.

Jowhar, the host of the inter-regional federal state conference has been appointed as the headquarters of the  Hiiraan-Middle Shabelle state, according to the polls by the elders.

The move comes as the elders from Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle region convening in a meeting in which they are seeking to form a federal state that will become the last travel to the federalism.

Somalia’s interior and federal affairs ministry which is sponsoring and facilitating the state formation process said the conference will be wrapped up in mid October and form new state.
