Gedo(INO)-The defense secretary of Ahlu Suna Wal Jama administration in Southern Somalia Sheikh Issack Hussein Mursal expressed his administration’s concern over the federal government plan to integrate the its army.
He said that Ahlu Suna Wal Jama will not accept the decision of the government over the inclusion of Ahlu Suna Wal Jama soldiers into the SNA, reasoning that the SFG has undermined previous agreement with Ahlu suna administration.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital Mogadishu, Sheikh Issack also warned the government on the integration of former shabaab fighters into the national army before giving them proper trainings and awareness for two years raising his fear that they might once again join Al-shabab and cause panic within the society and the army.
He advised the government to be cautious and vigilant about this issue before it turns to a major security problem.
