African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) said AU and Somali forces have killed at least seven Al shabaab members during a confrontation in Lower Shabelle province on Sunday.
AMISOM said it its official Twitter account the allied troops killed 7 Al shabaab militants, and injured 9 others in Barire area in the southern Lower Shabelle region after deadly clash.
The AU mission said no civilians were involved in this confrontation.

Al shabaab did not comment on the AMISOM’s claim.
