The embattled leader of the self-declared Khatumo State Ali Khalif Glayr said he is concerned over the forthcoming elections of Somalia due to be held in September and October, 2016.
“I’m in doubt of the elections on time due to the insecurity,” Mr Galayr said.
He said Somali security forces should take additional measures and be more vigilant during the elections, by securing election sites and hotels in Mogadishu to prevent Al Shabaab attack.
On the other hand, Khatumo State leader Ali Khalif Galayr spoke about the talks between his administration and Somaliland over the dispute on Sool, Sanaag and Ayn regions in northern Somalia.
He has accused Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of giving the public funds to Abdikarim Hussein Guled to become Galmudug state president, and neglecting Khatumo.
