Four people wounded in road accident in Somalia

At least four people are known to have been wounded after a vehicle they were travelling in overturned in central Somalia, residents said.

The victims are said to be vice president of Central State Administration of Ahlu Sunna, Hassan Mohamed Warsame and three of his security guards.

The accident happened area between Guriel and Dhusamareb towns after the driver lost control of the vehicle due to a brake defect, according to sources Idale News Online.

The overturned vehicle, that carrying VP Warsame and his guards has moved from Guriel and heading to Dhusamareb town.

The wounds were taken to hospital in Guriel town for medical treatment. Mr. Warsame has been slightly wounded, local officials said.

The road accidents are always attributed to the drivers who don’t have enough experience about driving and rough roads that were not repaired over a decade.
